Happy 2010, everyone!

I couldn't sleep so I decided to write this journal entry.

Isn't is scary that we are already 10 years into the 21st century? Sometimes I forgot how times flies so fast!

I have finally moved into a brand new apartment with my brother, much bigger than my previous one and at least I have my own bedroom.
My dad got me a new iPhone (because my mum, himself and my brother already have one and they want me to have one for a complete set ). I found some great games and applications on my dad's and boyfriend's recommendations. (Isn't it great to have a dad who is technologically advanced?).
I've been slow on paintings and drawings since I was busy with volunteer work and other personal commitments. (But it does tickle my heart and happiness that you guys still look at my works.)

Right now, I'm in Muar, a small town outside Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I've been back since for almost 2 months. But I spent Christmas with my family in Kuala Lumpur and it was great! I've watched the Princess and the Frog, got three new dresses and a beautiful blouse of which I shopped with my aunts and a new wardrobe of casual clothes courtesy of my loving mum, a special hair treatment to make my hair straight and finer (which was supposed to last a year, which was good enough for me) and new arts supplies...
I'm working to get my probational driving license here in Muar so that I can start driving when I'm back in Sydney. I'm having my driving test next Wednesday so wish me luck!

I'm quite excited once I'm going back to Muar after Chinese New Year. Other than looking for a paid job (volunteer work is great but I feel I need something substantial and for personal satisfaction), my parents are asking for new paintings for their various properties and they want me to start making them. I'm excited about this prospect because if I do a good job, they might pay me a commission as well as showing them off to their friends (the second part is pretty embarrassing). They already hung some of my university paintings in the new apartment and visitors have been asking about them. I've already made some new drafts and I can't wait to start painting them.

Don't worry about the DA submissions, they are still here ^^ there's still some more left!

I know I keep saying this but I really appreciate that you all still love my works despite my occasional recluses from DA for some time.
