I want to write this entry and pause for a minute of silence.

I never thought that my usual call with my boyfriend would start with the news of Michael Jackson dead. I couldn't believe it! It was only from his urging to see the TV news when and my usual browsing on the Sydney Morning Herald that it was confirmed...
As the news sink in, while I am sad that he is gone and that my heart will feel a bit hollow, I take comfort that this incredible music artist and dance genius will be in a better place to gain the peace that has always eluded him.

Michael Jackson, May You Rest in Peace and be on your way to Heaven.

I'm alive!!!! I'm alive!!!!!

It's been quite a journey, let me list out what has happened to me:

1) I've finished my internship at my chosen gallery and research paper.
2) I've found out my semester results and they are above my expectations.
3) I've confirmed my graduation attendance in May and have yet to submit my gown rental form.
4) I've celebrated Chinese New Year with my family: year of the OX.
5) I saw my new baby nephew while visiting family and friends in Singapore, so cuuuuute!
6) I've celebrated my birthday by going to cooking lessons where my birthday cake was made ^^
7) I've combined my two loves: drawing and cross stitching.
8) My dad got me a new software which helps me create cross stitch charts as a birthday present.
9) I've coloured my hair and had a new haircut.
10) My younger brother has started university in Australia and I have taken more responsibility in household chores.
11) I've been keeping myself busy by converting my drawings into cross stitch charts (I've been dying to see how one of them would look like in stitches).
12) I'm starting volunteer work in a gallery in the coming week and I'm excited.
13) I've finished playing Okami on the Wii, and playing these main Nintendo DS games: Nintendogs: Dachshund and friends, Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise, Cookie Shop and Spongebob Squarepants: Frantic Fry Cook
14) I have more linearts to submit!

This pretty much summarizes what I have been up to since the last journal entry. And I never knew housework could be so demanding. Phew....

I have to skedaddle! and...I'm aliiiiive!!!!

Hello, my darlings...

(Sigh) This semester has been pretty stressful, I have an internship at a craft gallery while juggling between a full-on research paper and two electives.

I admit that the experience is quite something, I'm going to be opening one next month and I'm very nervous about it (doesn't really help when my friends and parents said they want to come and see me open the exhibition).

But the worst thing that happened was my bag which I lost at the bus stop two weeks...which not only had my homework inside...but the folder that contains some of the drawings which are seen in my DA gallery...I've searched everywhere but nowhere can it be found...but I hope that the folder will end up making a child happy should it be found (for the best consolation)

But not all is bad, my mother is here with me in Sydney, I managed to get most of my work done for the week, I got new games for the Wii and Nintendo DS from my boyfriend and my brother and father are joining in Sydney soon.

There is so much to do *drawing-wise* and new works to see!

Please do keep coming whenever your heart tells you to, much appreciation is well...appreciated

Hello my darlings!

Phew! I've been a very bad girl. I know I finished my semester AGES ago but I was running around during my holidays searching for an internship placement to undertake in my second semester. I've applied to nearly 10 galleries and museums and I was such a nervous reck waiting for any reply.

But now...I am happy because on Monday I attended a Board meeting at the Arts and Crafts Society in Australia's New South Wales and it seems they are interested in taking me as an intern. Now I just have to wait for their proposals and see what will happen! I can do a research program, help with seminars or an exhibition or I can do all....but let's not go there yet...hehehehehe

I've recently came down with a cold and I really hated it...but I'm glad nearly all of it is gone, save for a slight runny nose.

I forgot to mention...my boyfriend was so proud of my achievements that he got me a Nintendo DS! A beautiful aqua colored one and all the Nintendog packages! (I have 9 virtual dogs now spread over the packs: Riku, a Siberian Husky, 2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels: Kairi and Sora, a pug named Azumi, A Schnauzer named Yumi and a Shiba Inu named Aiko, a Labrador named Yuki and 2 Dalmations named Sooty and Lana). He has already gotten me some other games to try out and I have to admit they are a lot of fun. The other highlights are the Ace Attorney games, the Petz series, the Mario games and who could not forget Dr Kawashima's brain training ^^

My boyfriend has also found another well paid job close to where I live so I can go out with him after work should I want to...ahh the perks!

Not only that, I recently got back my semester results and I did really well: 2 high distinctions, a distinction and a credit! Yay!

I admit that I found around this time that I couldn't and didn't draw as much as usual...but I have a lovely store of completed drawings to draw out as a teaser on what it would have looked like completed. So I will post up those drawings for now before sending up some colored pieces ^^

I did as much of all of my browsing of your artworks. Do keep them coming and I still want to thank all who still find my gallery still enchanting to go to ^^

Hi my darlings,

These past few weeks have been ridiculously hectic in uni. but this doesn't mean I've forgotten you guys! I still want to thanks to all of you who still come to my gallery space.

I'm now doing 4 subjects within three days.

I just did my presentation for my cultural material, ethics and law subjects and learned I got a distinction mark for one of my book binding assignments ^^ I'm so happy ^^ it's gonna be so busy next week too!

I have a tutorial paper due, a group report and presentation and a detailed condition report on an outdoor sculpture, one day after another next week. Doesn't my college love me?

My drawings are still coming, so I'll post a few up during a weekend and send something for mother's day this coming sunday.

And I'll get a chance to go bowling with my boyfriend on Thursday, can't wait! (I bet it feels so completely different from the bowling game in the Wii )
